A Day Trip from Saigon to Long Khánh by Train: A Review

Sharing our first summer trip! My little one and I took a quick getaway to Long Khánh, and it was surprisingly wonderful.

Morning Adventure: Train Ride and Fruit Orchard Fun

Our day started bright and early! We hopped on the train in Saigon at 6:00 am, heading to Long Khánh. First stop: dropping off our luggage at Happy Son Hotel.

Next, we made our way to 𝑼́𝒕 𝑻𝒊𝒆̂𝒖 Fruit Garden. We opted for the 99k package, which included a tour and all-you-can-eat fruit feasting among the rambutan and guava trees. It was a tropical delight!

Around 11:00 am, we had lunch. Pre-ordering the day before meant our food arrived quickly – always a plus.

By 1:00 pm, we were back at the hotel for a much-needed rest.

Sunset Views and Evening Relaxation

At 5:00 pm, we took a ride to Hồ Cầu Dầu to catch the sunset and enjoy a relaxing dinner. The scenery was beautiful and the atmosphere was perfect.

Coffee, Gardens, and Homeward Bound

The next morning, we explored 𝑪𝒂̂𝒚 𝒙𝒂𝒏𝒉 𝒈𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒏, a coffee shop with lush greenery and a calming stream. A slight detour meant a 600m walk – a bit tiring, but the stunning views and happy kiddo made it worthwhile.

Lunch was a treat – a delicious homemade meal at a friend's house. Afterwards, we headed to the train station by 2:30 pm to catch our train back to Saigon.

Memories Made

This early summer trip was incredibly valuable. My child had new experiences, and I captured plenty of amazing photos. Best of all, it was a budget-friendly adventure.

A tip for visiting: the weather can be unpredictable, so plan your orchard visit for the morning to avoid potential rain!
