UK Visa Approved in Just 6 Days! A Streamlined Experience
Minimal Documents, Maximum Efficiency
Just wanted to share the good news! My UK visa was approved, and the mandatory documents in the checklist were surprisingly simple: just my passport. The processing time was incredibly fast – only 6 business days! I also prepared applications for my wife and two children (their applications were slightly more involved).
A Superior Visa Application System
Having now navigated the visa processes for the UK, Schengen area, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, I believe the UK's visa system stands out as the most intelligent. Here's why:
- The checklist of required documents is customized based on your individual application answers. Some applicants may only need to submit their passport or proof of funds, while others have a more extensive list.
- The online form includes at least two sections where applicants can freely elaborate on aspects not covered by the standard questions.
- The VFS online portal dedicates specific sections for uploading any additional supporting documents you feel are relevant. This includes photos from past travels or awards received.
- The online form inquires about your travel history over the last 10 years, providing an opportunity to showcase your travel experience.
- The UK offers a flexible range of visa durations: 6 months, 2 years, 5 years, or 10 years. This contrasts with New Zealand, which offers less flexibility (though New Zealand, often called "Second Britain", shares many of the UK system's advantages, save for the visa duration options).
