Location is key! I snagged a room in Namba (Osaka) for 2 nights at the Ibis near Nipponbashi station. Sharing with friends makes it even cheaper! My room was a steal at ¥3000/night thanks to the travel deals. Plus, the view was incredible! 😍
Night #3 took me to Kyoto, so I booked a room near Gion station at Akanek Hotel. This place was seriously gorgeous, complete with an onsen! And guess what? Another amazing deal at ¥3000/night! Talk about luxury on a budget! ✨

- Nara Park: Get ready for cuteness overload with those adorable deer! 🦌 Seriously, I couldn't stop taking pictures.
- Afternoon/Evening: Explore the retro vibes of Tsutenkaku, then hit Namba and Kuromon Market for some epic street food like takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and katsu kushi. Trust me, the takoyaki is mind-blowing! 🤤
- Night: Stroll along the Namba River by Dotonbori and soak in the dazzling lights. (If you have time, sneak a peek at Kobe's harbor! 😉)
• Day 2: Anime & Amusement Parks!

Time to experience the magic of Kyoto! ✨ I recommend grabbing a ¥600 1-day bus pass for unlimited rides. I learned this the hard way and spent way too much on individual tickets! 😭
**Kyoto Sightseeing Itinerary:**
- Drop your bags at Kyoto Station and head to Fushimi Inari Shrine (Inari Station). Prepare to be amazed by the thousands of vibrant torii gates! 😍
- Next up: Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. It was a bit gloomy when I visited, so my photos weren't the best, but it's absolutely stunning in person! 😊
- Walk to Arashiyama Koen Park and rent a boat to cruise along the river (open until 4 PM). The area is filled with delicious food too! Finally, head back to Gion for some evening exploration and dinner. 🌃
- Catch a bus back to your hotel for some well-deserved rest.
• Day 4: Ancient Beauty & Golden Temples!
- Kiyomizu-dera: This historic district stole my heart! It's everything I dreamed Kyoto would be. A photographer's paradise! 📸
- Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion): Take a bus and bask in the glory of this iconic temple. If you're feeling ambitious, you can visit Ginkaku-ji (Silver Pavilion) too, but I figured one was enough! 😉
- Indulge in some famous Kyoto udon. The restaurant was super cute and traditional! 🍜
- Evening: Souvenir shopping in Kyoto! Finding the bus stop back to Tokyo was a bit tricky, so get there an hour early just in case! 😂
- Night: Back on the bus to Tokyo!
My trip was extra special because it was so peaceful and uncrowded. I felt like I could truly soak everything in. My total cost was around ¥50,000... mostly because I ate so much! 😂
