Disneyland Paris Review: My Whirlwind Adventure! ✨

Hey everyone! 👋

I just got back from Disneyland Paris on January 2nd, and let me tell you – it was a trip! I arrived in Paris on December 30th to beautiful, sunny weather. But of course, the weather gods decided to throw a curveball: torrential rain and crazy winds on January 1st and 2nd! 😩 But hey, tickets were booked, so we braved the storm and headed to Disneyland!

I thought the rain would scare people away, but NOPE! The park was PACKED, especially later in the afternoon around 4-5 PM. Luckily, we bought our tickets through the fabulous Lanh Meo Bu Meo Bu (link if applicable), so we just scanned our codes and jumped right in!

Now, let's get to the juicy part: my reviews of the rides, from my personal experience! 🎢

My Disneyland Paris Ride Reviews! 🎡

  • 1/ Disney Railroad: Think a charming, old-fashioned steam train like you'd find in Switzerland! It mainly offers scenic views of the entrance area. The wait was quick, and the ride is short, but you can totally stay on for another round if you're feeling it! This was the first ride I tried, and the only one I got to enjoy more than once! 😉
  • 2/ Big Thunder Mountain: This rollercoaster is super thrilling! I heard screams of excitement as the train passed by, so I knew I had to try it. The wait time said 45 minutes, but I only waited around 43! The ride is intense, but it's over in a flash! It even had a camera to capture your reaction! Definitely worth a try, but it's a bit far from the center, and the lines can be long. I considered riding at 7 PM when the wait dropped to 15 minutes, but I was too lazy to walk all the way back! 😂
  • 3/ Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain: Another awesome rollercoaster, but this one takes place inside a dark tunnel filled with Star Wars galaxies. It's super fast, maybe 2 minutes tops, but the photo you can buy has a cool Star Wars frame! I splurged and got 2 pictures for 25 euros. 💰
  • 4/ Rustler Roundup Shooting Gallery: It's like a carnival shooting game! The guns are surprisingly heavy. It cost 3 euros per round for about 5-7 minutes of fun. 🎯
  • Lunch Break: Cowboy Cookout Barbecue: This restaurant is reasonably priced, and the food is pretty good! Plus, Minnie Mouse was there for photos! So cute! 📸
  • 5/ "it's a small world": A relaxing boat ride through a world of singing dolls and beautiful scenery. It's a chorus of 5 continents. The music is catchy, and the landscapes are magical! I was hoping to see a Vietnamese Ao Dai, but I did spot the words "Tạm biệt" (Goodbye) during the farewell sequence! The wait wasn't too bad, around 25 minutes. ⛵️
  • 6/ Mad Hatter's Teacups: Spinning teacups! 😜 Fun, but super short. The wait was around 20 minutes during peak hours.
  • 7/ Dumbo the Flying Elephant: I heard this ride always has a long line, but it wasn't too bad when I went! Maybe it was because the line was outside in the cold and wind. The ride is short but sweet, and you get a great view of the castle! 🏰
  • 8/ Pirates of the Caribbean: Sail the seas with Captain Jack Sparrow and relive scenes from the movie! It's a boat ride similar to "it's a small world," but with a spooky pirate theme! There's even a restaurant along the ride route, but I'm sure the prices aren't cheap! 🏴‍☠️
  • 9/ Star Tours: The Adventures Continue: This is like a 3D movie ride! You get 3D glasses and become a passenger on a Star Wars flight! If you're a fan, you NEED to try this! Even I, who isn't a huge fan, loved it! The wait was only 10 minutes when I rode it! 🚀
  • 10/ Peter Pan's Flight: I wanted to try this one because the wait times can be crazy long (60-70 minutes!). When I saw it was only 50 minutes, we jumped in line. Unfortunately, it started pouring rain while we were waiting! 🌧️ So, after enduring the downpour, the ride was actually pretty similar to Pirates of the Caribbean. A bit anticlimactic after that long and wet wait! 🥲
  • 11/ Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast: When I checked this out at 11 AM, the wait was only 20 minutes. But later, it was constantly 50-60 minutes. Around 9 PM, the wait dropped to 15 minutes, so I went for it, and it was SO worth it! You sit in a rotating spaceship and shoot targets! Super addictive! I was so focused on shooting that I didn't realize there was a camera taking photos! 😂 I ended up buying the digital copy for 15 euros. But since I had already bought a printed photo earlier, they gave me a discount, and it only cost me 9 euros! 😉
  • 12/ Autopia, presented by Avis: The last ride before I rushed over to the castle at 10 PM for the fireworks! This ride is fun! You drive a car on a guided track. Even if you steer off course, it will guide you back. The best part? It ended right at 10 PM, putting me right next to the castle for the fireworks! Perfect timing! 🎆

My Pro-Tip: Bring snacks and drinks to keep your energy up while waiting in line! 😋
