Your Ultimate 4-Day Danang & Hoi An Itinerary!
Just back from an amazing trip to Danang, Vietnam, and let me tell you – 4 days wasn't nearly enough! This city is bursting with culture, delicious food, and breathtaking views. Here's my super detailed itinerary to help you make the most of your trip:
Day 1: Danang Arrival & Hoi An Charm
- 2:00 PM: Check into Cicilia Hotel in Danang. Grab a motorbike from a rental shop opposite the hotel. (This is the best way to get around!)
- 4:00 PM: Head to Hoi An Ancient Town (approx. 30-45 min ride).
- 5:00 PM: Explore the charming streets of Hoi An! Don't miss trying Mót herbal drink, tào phớ (tofu pudding), and Cao Lầu noodles at Triết restaurant. (Pro tip: wear comfy shoes – you'll be doing a lot of walking!)
- 9:00 PM: Return to Danang and take a stroll across the Dragon Bridge (Cầu Rồng). It breathes fire and water on weekend nights!
Day 2: Ba Na Hills & Han River Cruise
- 8:00 AM: Journey to Ba Na Hills. Pack sunscreen! Even if it doesn't seem super sunny, you can still get burned. You'll find a Lotte Mart up there, so packing lunch isn't necessary.
- 4:00 PM: Back to the hotel for a rest and some beach time!
- 7:00 PM: Dinner at Làng Nướng Phước Hải (Phuoc Hai Grilled Village) for some delicious Vietnamese BBQ.
- 9:00 PM: Han River Cruise. Enjoy the city lights from a different perspective.
Day 3: Hoi An Revisited & Coconut Basket Boats
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Head back to Hoi An. It's HOT in the morning, so bring an umbrella and water. Relax at Chu An Cafe for stunning views.
- 12:30 PM: Coconut Basket Boat tour at Bay Mau Coconut Forest. Be wary of touts! Book your tour in advance to avoid inflated prices. The boat rides are about 20 mins. Tip your rower – they're amazing!
- 2:00 PM: Lunch at Mậu Restaurant for Bánh Tráng Cuốn Thịt Heo (Pork Spring Rolls). The restaurant has a dog with a bell as big as the ice cream man's!
- 3:00 PM: Return to Danang and enjoy some PLong (coffee with coconut milk).
- 4:00 PM: Relax and swim at My Khe Beach.
- 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Visit the Love Bridge and the iconic Dragon Carp statue. It's especially beautiful in the evening light.
- 8:00 PM: Dinner at Cơm Gà Hồng Ngọc (Hong Ngoc Chicken Rice). It's tasty and affordable, but be prepared for a bit of a wait.
- 9:00 PM: Stroll along the beach before heading back to the hotel.
Day 4: Sunrise & Departure
- 5:00 AM: Wake up early to catch the sunrise and go paddleboarding at Man Thai Beach near the fishing market.
- 7:00 AM: Head back to the hotel for the buffet breakfast.
- 11:00 AM: Lunch at Mì Quảng Bà Ngân (Ba Ngan Quang Noodles).
- 12:00 PM: Check out and head to the airport.
Enjoy your trip to Danang and Hoi An!
