My Asia Island Glamping Adventure: A Full Review! 🏕️

Just got back from Asia Island Glamping yesterday, and had to share my experience! We did a day trip (morning 'til 5 PM), so this review focuses on that. No BBQ or overnight stay this time, but here's the scoop:

The Awesome Stuff! 👍

  • Super Close to Saigon! Easy peasy commute (we pre-booked a Grab and scored 20-50% off! Only 200k VND from Tan Phu each way).
  • Seriously Chill Vibes! The grounds are covered in lush, tall trees providing amazing shade. The tents are nestled under them, so even midday naps are comfy. We slept like babies! 😴 Unlike some newer glamping spots with just a patch of grass, this place is cool all day and night.
  • Morning Bliss! Arriving early for coffee, breakfast, and watching the boats go by on the river is super relaxing. ☕🌊
  • Kid-Friendly Fun! The playground is also shaded! Swings, slides, seesaws... all the good stuff. Plus, an archery range! 🎯
  • Lazy River Heaven! This cool, green river is also under the trees, making it perfect even at 11 AM or 2-3 PM. Adults and kids will love it! They provide free floats, life vests, and even dry towels! No extra charge! 💯
  • Comfy Tents! Our tent was fully equipped: blankets, pillows, AC, fan, hot water kettle, even a safe! 😂 The raised wooden floors keep out rain and bugs. No musty smells and everything was clean. They offer tents of different sizes for families or groups. VIP tents even have their own toilets!
  • Delicious Food! The restaurant is convenient, and the food is great! The pho for breakfast was only 49k VND, and it was packed with meat and delicious! The lunch menu is varied, with generous portions that aren't too sweet, salty, or greasy. Our whole group devoured it! Prices are reasonable too. 😋
  • Amazing Staff! The staff were super helpful and flexible. Our tent wasn't supposed to be ready until noon, but when our little one got tired, they let us check in early. We booked only 3 hours, but when we went over, they didn't even charge us extra! (Probably depends on how busy they are, but still, so nice!) Other places I've been would charge immediately. 🙏
  • Budget-Friendly! The overall cost for our group, including entrance fees, food, and tent rental, was very reasonable!
    • Entrance: 119k VND/adult, 79k VND/child (1-1.3m)
    • VIP Tent (with toilet): 200k VND/hour
    • Lunch: Around 800k VND for 5 adults, 3 kids

A Few Bumps in the Road... 🚧

  • Sup Concerns! The SUP area is on the edge of the main river, and the big container ships create some potentially dangerous waves. The safety zone is small, so it's not quite like SUPing on Tri An Lake (which is safer). We just watched from the side lines. 👀
  • Mosquito Alert! Be prepared for mosquitoes around 4-5 PM! Bring spray or lotion. 🦟

Overall: A Big Thumbs Up! 👍👍

We absolutely loved Asia Island Glamping! It's perfect for families with young kids who haven't tried camping or glamping before. We've been to a few places around Tri An Lake and in District 9, but this is one we'll definitely visit again. If you're looking for a chill weekend getaway for relaxation, coffee, and a good book, this place is a great choice! 💯

Travel Tips! 🚗

  • Own Car: Perfect! Drive straight to the entrance.
  • Grab Car: Pre-book your rides on the app! It's cheaper and more reliable because it can be hard to find rides later in the day due to the location.
  • Day Trip Timing: Leave around 4:30-5 PM to make it easier to find transportation.
  • Grab Bike: Available, but limited.
  • Bus: Take bus #76 or #88 to the Dien May Xanh on Long Phuoc Road. It's about 3km from Asia Island. From there, take a xe om (motorbike taxi).
