Paris! Need we say more? This city is a dream come true for European travel enthusiasts. You'll find countless reviews and travel tips about this gorgeous city, but I HAD to share my love for Parisian foie gras with fellow local foodies! 😋😋😋
Forget just escargots at L'escargot (although it's amazing!). You guys, seriously, when you're in Paris, you absolutely MUST try Foie Gras! 😋 Imagine rich, decadent foie gras paired with crusty baguette... It's a culinary experience like no other. I've included the restaurant name below, along with the dishes we devoured on our third day in France. 👇
Our Whirlwind Paris Itinerary:
💟 Day 1: Christmas Markets & Parisian Delights
- 🎄🎄🎄La Defense Christmas Market (There are SO many amazing Christmas markets in Paris - explore them all!).
- Dinner: Pho Dau Bo in the 13th arrondissement - My friend and I thought it was super tasty and satisfying! 👍👍
- (If you're visiting during the Christmas season):
- 📍Avenue Montaigne: Prepare to be dazzled by the Christmas lights ✨✨✨.
- 📍Galeries Lafayette: Absolutely breathtaking! The Christmas tree goes all the way up to the dome, and the decorations are just spectacular! 😍
💟 Day 2: Iconic Landmarks & Culinary Adventures
- 🥐Café de Flore: Indulge in their thick and sweet French Hot Chocolate (the croissant was okay, tbh).
- 📍Eiffel Tower - Champ de Mars
- 📍Rue de I' Universite (great views near the tower)
- 📍Pont Alexandre III Bridge
- 📍Seine River (stroll along the banks!)
- 📍Bir-Hakeim Bridge
- 📍Avenue De New-York
- Lunch: Le Bistro Parisien (book in advance - AMAZING Eiffel Tower views!)
- Dinner: Escargots at L'escargot (again, book in advance!)
💟 Day 3: Art, History & Foie Gras!
- ☕️Cà phê Carrette (the "famous hot chocolate," according to Instagram!)
- 📍Arc de Triomphe
- 📍Opera Garnier
- 📍Louvre Museum (FREE entry for EU residents/students aged 18-25 with residency/student cards!)
- Lunch: Restaurant Pastamore (book in advance!) - Specializes in delicious pasta dishes 🍝
- Dinner: The star of the show: Foie Gras! Head to Il était une oie dans le Sud Ouest (BOOK AHEAD!) - a fantastic local restaurant serving authentic French cuisine. Seriously, the food here is incredible!
- We chose: Pan fried foie gras - Cassoulet au confit de canard (duck confit cassoulet) - Tarte au citron (lemon tart). The staff were also incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive! (10/10 🖐🖐)
