Guide to Receiving Money from Facebook from Your Content
Early 2026, many Facebook content creators accidentally got monetization enabled for content on Facebook for both Video and Photos. This is good news and also confusion because many won't know how to get the money, and whether the current money can really be withdrawn or not.
This article will share some basics.
1. Is it really possible to earn money from Facebook
Yes, I have earned it. However, Facebook enabling it all doesn't mean you get every amount, you might be held forever until you meet conditions or wait for the amount to reset to 0 due to country or account not meeting policy (sigh)
In Vietnam, it is still possible to receive but you need to clearly identify some criteria:
- Clean content not reup (may be evaluated later)
- Completed W8Ben tax form declaration for outside US market
- Earned enough continuously for 2-3 months
- Payment verification confirmed
- Over 100usd for bank transfer withdrawal
- Priority if run Facebook ads with large budget to easily declare payment
Otherwise, it just stays in the account and sometimes you have to use intermediary services to receive help and pay fees (average 100 usd minus fees about 70-80usd)
2. Guide to declaring to receive money from Facebook
If eligible, you will see Meta message to declare W8BEN tax form to confirm, currently can declare online if you meet standards.
Remember to try periodically, if error or blank page then try again at 100usd mark or 30 days later
After declaring, it will be entering bank account number and SWIFT of your bank. Some banks need foreign currency account, remember to note (I use VCB no need)
3. Receiving money to bank incurs many fees?
Usually receiving to bank 100usd will lose about 10usd foreign currency conversion fee, if more you should consider declaring personal income tax
