Strategically placed along key central routes, these new LED traffic lights are embedded directly into the pavement. The system features distinct red and green lights that synchronize with the overhead traffic signals. This integration provides pedestrians with a clear, visual cue at their feet, making it easier to gauge when it's safe to cross.
When a pedestrian activates the call button, the signal is transmitted to the central traffic management system. This triggers a red light for approaching vehicles and illuminates a green light at ground level for those waiting to cross.
