A Romantic 3-Day Singapore Getaway: A Couple's Quick Review & Itinerary

Singapore Slingin': My Romantic 3D2N Getaway! 🥰

Just got back from an amazing 3-day trip to Singapore with my love! Booked the flights kinda last minute (like, two weeks before!) so they were a little pricey. But honestly? Everything went so perfectly! We explored so much, got our fill of spring vibes, and now we're ready to hustle for the next nine months! 😂 Here's the quick rundown:

The Deets: Flights, Stays, and Easy Ways to Pay!

  • Flights: $13,500K VND / 2 people (Vietnam Airlines on the way there with 23kg checked baggage included, Vietjet on the way back with an extra 20kg baggage purchase for around $700K VND).
  • Hotel: LYF ONE NORTH (part of the Lyf chain, but this location is a bit outside the city center). We loved it because it was super cute with tons of photo ops! The street was also quiet, perfect for impromptu street style shots. Plus, it's right across from the MRT and bus stops. Two nights cost $4,400K VND.
  • EZ-Link Card: Skipped buying one and borrowed from TravelGram.vn - Your DIY Travel Solution! Just load it up at the station and return it when you get back. So convenient! They also offer great travel advice.

Day-by-Day Adventure: Singapore Style!

Day 1: Jewel Changi, Merlion Madness, and Garden Rhapsody!

Our 8 AM flight landed at T3 in Singapore around 12:25 PM. After grabbing our luggage, we headed straight to Jewel Changi Airport to see the amazing waterfall! So stunning! ❤️ Then, we hopped on the MRT to Merlion Park for some iconic photos. Checked into the hotel around 3 PM and chilled for a bit.

At 4 PM, we took the MRT to Gardens by the Bay – a must-see! We bought tickets for the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome through TravelGram. Around 6 PM, we hit up the Gardens by the Bay food court. Lots of options, and the food was pretty good! After fueling up, we watched the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show. Then, it was MRT time again, this time to Geylang for some late-night snacking! 🤣🤣 Finally, back to the hotel for some much-needed sleep.

Day 2: Sentosa Fun, Jumbo Seafood, and Bugis Bargains!

Woke up at 9 AM and headed to Sentosa. Had breakfast at Toast Box in VivoCity. Since Universal Studios didn't open until 10 AM, we hit up Palawan Beach for some sun and photos. Then, we checked out the Images of Singapore museum before heading back to Universal to wander around and snap some pics.

Lunch was at Jumbo Seafood in Clark Quay (they even have Vietnamese-speaking staff! :))). After that, we took some pics at the colorful Old Hill Street Police Station. The crab was amazing, the river view was romantic – 5 stars! 🤣

In the afternoon, we went to Bugis Street Market for souvenirs, then strolled through Chinatown, visited the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, had a snack, and explored. Ended the night with frog porridge at G7 in Geylang before heading back.

Day 3: Orchard, Little India, and Airport Eats!

After breakfast at Subway, we wandered around Orchard Road and Little India to find cool photo spots. Go early like we did – the streets are wider and less crowded, making it easy to snap great pics! Checked out of the hotel at 11 AM and headed to the airport to check in early. Had lunch at the T4 food court – Ba Ku Teh at the airport! Then, after security, we browsed the souvenir shops to use up our remaining cash (didn't have enough left to bother exchanging back!).

Our 3 PM flight landed in Hanoi around 6 PM Vietnam time. A quick but super fun trip! 😆😆

Important Tip: Grab It (Strategically!)

We used Grab three times during the trip. After all that walking, sometimes we just needed a ride! But avoid peak hours like noon – prices can surge by almost 10 SGD!
