Let's Explore New York City Together! 😉

NYC: A Foodie's Paradise!

What's your impression of NYC? For me, it's a city where I'm always full, from slightly stuffed to bursting! 🤣 I just went in April, thinking the weather would be mild. Nope! NYC greeted me with a bone-chilling cold and icy winds. But hey, the food in NYC is endless! 😂 Here are some of my absolute favorite spots that I hope will enrich your "must-eat" list when you visit the Big Apple.

My NYC Foodie Adventures:

  • JONGRO BBQ (Korean Town):

Visiting NYC and skipping Korean Town BBQ? No way! This place had a crazy long line when I arrived, and I almost gave up. But when I asked for a table, they asked, "Drinking or no drinking?" If you're not drinking, you get seated immediately! 😉 They have separate floors for drinkers and non-drinkers. The BBQ here is perfectly seasoned (in my opinion), and the price is reasonable. A set menu for four people cost less than $40 per person, and we were stuffed!
  • GRACE STREET (Korean Town):

After BBQ, head across the street for some heavenly Bingsu! Their Bingsu is more like ice cream than shaved ice. It's perfectly sweet with delicious toppings. I especially loved the Matcha flavor with creamy red bean, chewy coconut jelly, and taro like taro pudding! 😂 They also have burnt cheesecake that's surprisingly not bitter, with a cheesy, rich, and not-too-sweet flavor.
  • DONBURIYA:

They serve amazing beef Udon! You gotta try it.
  • CHODANGGOL (Korean Town):

A cute little Korean restaurant with incredible stone pot bibimbap and crispy green onion pancakes. It was packed during lunchtime. The servers are super friendly!
  • MAXI'S NOODLE (Flushing):

I took a one-hour train ride to Flushing just for their hand-pulled noodles! Seriously delicious and worth the trip. The hand-pulled noodles here are top-notch. Their wontons, dumplings, and fish balls are also amazing. Plus, they have Hong Kong-style milk tea (mixed with coffee) that's fragrant and not too sweet.
  • FU YUAN (Flushing):

Take a train to Flushing and enjoy hot, fresh Chinese-style rice rolls. This spot is located in Flushing's Chinatown. This Chinatown is bustling and has just as many delicious options as Manhattan, so definitely explore and eat as much as possible!
  • ARABICA (Dumbo):

As far as I know, this is the only location in the US! Their coffee is outstanding! You'll be saying "Wow!" after the first sip.
  • TEN THOUSAND COFFEE:

Simply decorated and beautiful, with delicious coffee.
  • REMI FLOWER & COFFEE:

If you've searched for NYC spots on Instagram, you've definitely seen this place! It's a flower shop and coffee shop in one.
  • CITIZENS:

Perfect for brunch lovers. They have multiple locations, so check which one is most convenient for you. I went to Citizens of Chelsea, which was convenient for visiting The High Line and The Vessel.

Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment with any questions or suggestions. What are your favorite NYC spots? Share them with me so I can try them next time!
